EXPERT DISCUSSIONS ON SHAPING THE FUTURE OF PURCHASING PROFESSIONALS’ SKILLS: WORLD CAFÉ SESSIONS
In the second stage of PERISCOPE an international panel of 16 experts were asked to discuss three themes. The aim of the expert discussion is to explore the themes in the working field an research wise it aims to prepare the questionnaires in the next research phase, the Delphi study.
The expert meeting consisted of a plenary, introductory session, three parallel discussion session on the three themes and a plenary, evaluation session. The three themes that were discussed in the three, parallel discussion were:
- Which skills are needed for purchasing to contribute to sustainability?
- Which skills are needed for purchasing to contribute to innovation / co-development?
- What is preventing companies from being simultaneously sustainable and innovative?
